Jbird started early education

A week after my big boy Tman started Kindergarten, my second boy Jbird started early education. Since he has been having a speech problem, for the past year, he qualified to receive a few hours of week of early education training to help with his language. I've been very happily surprised with all the programs that are available to children with any sort of learning issues. I am proud of my state for sure.

Jbird will be attending early education 3 times a week for 2.5 hours. Since it's in the middle of the day, the bus will pick him up from daycare and take him to the school then drop him back off after he is done. Such an awesome set up because as working parents it would be very hard to get him from point A to point B during the day.

We chose not to make a big production out of his first day because we didn't want to scare him or anything like that. It was just me and my boy. I went to daycare with him and stayed until it was time to get on the bus. Then I followed the bus to school and watched Jbird for half an hour. Everything was so smooth and painless that it washed away all my fears. Jbird is going to have a great year I just know it.

While we were hanging out at daycare, I took a few selfies with my boy. This one was my favorite, we have matching happy smiles :)
He was so happy when I told him to get his backpack and come with me to get on the bus
My sweet Jbird ready for his new adventure, when did he get so big
I took a picture with my boy before the bus came. He was happy as can be and that makes this mama really happy and completely at ease
Big boy Jbird walking to the bus like nothing ever happened :)
I am so so proud of my Jbird
Look at those awesome built-in harness, I was wondering how he was going to sit still on the school bus but clearly they have it all figure out
I might have followed the bus to school just to see how well Jbird was going to do when he got there.
When he arrived in the class he just ran in like he knew exactly what he wanted to do
They had a viewing room where I could watch him without him knowing that I was there. My baby is getting one on one attention and we could asked for a better set up
We've had such a great experience with getting the help we need to get our Jbird's speech up to par. He's made some great stride since he started the program last April. We are so happy that we got him help as soon as we did. The tantrums have gone down because we are communicating so much better. There is still plenty of work to be done but I am so happy with the progress we've made so far.
