Birthday fun and more visitors

Two weekends ago, before we went on our road trip, we attended a birthday party for some friends. It was Emilia's first outing for a party. I know she didn't really know any better but the boys had a ball. Taking pictures at family events is proving to be so much more difficult with 4 I tell you. It's probably because Emilia is still a baby and I am always holding her. I am sure it will get better as she gets older.

I did manage to get a family picture, woop woop. These days I am just happy when we all get in the frame. Are you loving Emilia's blue tutu to coordinate with our blue :). I love this family of mine
Mrs. T took Emilia as soon as we got there and I was loving their matching pink :)
My friend A was there with her kiddos. Her son who is 3 years old was so fascinated with the baby. He asked if he could hold her
Look at him doing an amazing job with her, check out my baby stretching like a big girl
Ben was so proud of himself when he got to hold the baby
This is the chaos that was going on around him :)
Look at all those kids playing somewhat peacefully
A and I decided to take a picture with our daughters and of course Tman photobombed us. It's ok because he is the most adorable photobomber :)
Chilling with our daughters and my Tman. All that blue just made this pic
Later that night, we had a few family friend over to see Emilia. This girl is more popular than a movie star :)
Chilling with my baby girl and our friend D. I forgot to put her bow on
Luckily my mom reminded me before we took these pictures. Chilling with our friends
Check out these two gorgeous baby girls with their bows, are you loving the matching yellow
My mom is one proud grandma I tell you, chilling here with her friend P
We were really busy the weekend before we took off for Canada. I am not ready to be back to being super busy like we were before the baby came. We still need time to adjust to this family of 6 business. I do however love that we are slowly getting out and about with all 4 kids. It's crazy tiring and sometimes it seems impossible but I am glad we make the effort. I know it will get easier with time. Our half a dozen is on the move and we wouldn't have it any other way.

We are back from Canada and we are matching :)

We are back from an awesome week long trip to Canada. We went to visit family and friends in Ottawa and Toronto and I have a zillion pictures to get through before I can tell you all about it.

I digress. My absolute favorite thing to do is put my kids in matching outfit. It was super easy when we had 3 boys and now with a girl thrown in the mix, things have become very interesting. I love a good challenge and this is no different. I have devised a plan to get a few matching pieces for them, they might not match all the time but they will sure coordinate often :). Since I am on maternity leave, I am always shopping online in the middle of the night between feedings. I have found some amazing websites with unusual pieces and I am so excited to put the kids in my awesome finds.

I found these awesome shirts a few months ago and I was giggling so much as I ordered them because they are so fitting of my kids. Tman's shirt says "I'm the oldest I make the rules", Jbird and Bean's shirts say "I'm in the middle, I am the reason we have rules" and Emilia shirt says "I am the youngest, rules don't apply to me." Is this the cutest idea or what?

I present to you, my kids in their first somewhat matching outfit
Emilia had to have a bow of course, gotta keep her as girly as we can
Tman was so proud to hold his sister. He said "mom put her on this side, I'll protect her from those crazy boys, lol"
I had to have all of them together of course
I tried to get them to show their shirts but it was completely pointless
Oh hey, you can see something here
Come on smile you guys, I can almost read your shirts :)
Good job Jbird, someone is listening to his mother
And then craziness ensued
My kids are a riot, baby girl is the quiet one right now but I know it won't be for long. I wonder what her personality is going to be like as she grows; either way I know she will fit right in with this awesome crew. Are you loving these shirts like I did? I am having way too much fun with these kids of mine. So happy to be their mother, it's non stop fun and craziness around here.

A wedding celebration for Lucie and Michael

A little over a month ago when Emilia was a mere 3 weeks old, we attended a wedding celebration for our family friends Lucie and Michael. They have actually been married for 10 years but had never had a Church blessing so they decided to celebrate their 10 year by having a celebration. We weren't sure if we were going to make it but since I had an awesome birth and delivery and was feeling pretty good, we decided to go. I am so glad we went because we had an awesome time.

Before we left the house we of course took a picture :). First outing 3 weeks after having our baby girl, we were only gone for 4 hours but it felt great to get dressed up and be adults for a bit.
Car selfies are always in order though hubby is never into them :). I was totally feeling myself with my red on :)

The details of the wedding were absolutely beautiful. The colors, the decorations and all the little touches were so nice. The lighting was not the best so the pictures don't do the wedding any justice but it was beautiful.

My mom was the maid of honor and my brothers were also invited to the party. It is always so nice to party with my peeps
My brother and his wife
Hanging out with my brother J
First dance :) :)
The beautiful couple in their African attire. I love the style they picked
Hanging out with my mom and my brothers
Mother and daughter :) :)
Hanging out with the groom at the end of the night
We had a great time celebrating Lucie and Michael. I am so happy that we were able to make it out to celebrate their special day, thank goodness for electric breast pumps. I love weddings particularly when they are family weddings.

Emilia is 2 months

My baby girl turned 2 months old last Friday. It was another super fast month in our household. Emilia is now awake more and interacting with us. She now smiles on demand and we have so much fun making faces at her to get her to smile. She is also starting to have rolls all over her body and I am loving it. Her cheeks are so full just like her brothers were, we really only make one kind of child :).

I took a few pictures to celebrate her 2nd month of life and she was a total ham. She now smiles on demand and it is the cutest thing. I mean look at this beautiful happy baby smiling away :)

Emilia continues to be a great nurser and is growing like a weed just like her big brothers did before her. I am blessed with kids who are good on the boob and feed really well until of course they become toddlers. She was a beautiful 12lbs 11ozand 25in at her 2-month appointment. She almost doubled her birth weight and we are super proud of her

Half of her weight is in her cheeks I tell you :)

She is still not the best sleeper but we are getting a few more hours now. I gave in and took her to bed with me and we've been sleeping much longer stretches. I am such a happier more awake person since we made this move a few weeks ago, cospleeping works for us. I love sleeping next to this sweet face
When I took the pictures, Jbird and Bean were my assistant :). Every time Emilia made a sound they rushed to her to give her a kiss. I mean, how awesome are these big brothers. They melt my heart everyday with how sweet they are with our baby girl

This girl is so loved
We started tummy time and she was not loving it at first. We've turned it into a family affair and it's been better. The boys get on on the floor with her and pretend they are doing tummy time :).

Hehehehe
On another note, we got her a pink mat for tummy time :). I am loving all the pink that has entered our house. Look at her holding her head up, those cheeks are really weighing her down :)
Check out Emilia watching Tennis with her daddy
Check her out hanging out with her big brother Tman
Love my people and the fact that baby girl is getting big enough to hang with us more
This girl looks exactly like her brothers did at this age I tell you. Without the bows and the girly stuff, she is like any of my boys. We really only make one kind of child and they are so beautiful :)
The second month was another one for the books. Baby girl is growing on target and we are so thankful for that. She is more awake everyday and wants to hang out with us more. We love every milestone that this girl is reaching and we are just so happy to have her here with us. Maternity leave is going really well and I am loving every moment I get to spend with my youngest babies. Happy 2 months baby girl, we love you to the moon and back.
