We finally gave Bean his first bath when he was 5 weeks old. I am that paranoid parent that waits for as long as possible to give my babies a bath. I wait until the circumcision and navel is completely healed then I wait some more, I mean what's the rush. I also keep mittens on my babies hands until that first bath. So the first bath is an awesome milestone in our family, the kids get dunked in water and they also can start to discover their hands.
My mom gave my first 2 sons their first bath so in keeping with the tradition, she also gave Bean his first bath. I am usually on camera duty while hubby takes a video of the action. I know, we really make a production out of little things in our house.
Here we are getting ready for our picture and video shoot of Jbird's
first bath, I know we are goofballs, feel free to laugh at us. Hubby always makes the crazy faces while I am laughing hysterically
You mean you don't take ridiculous pictures of yourself in the mirror before giving your baby his first bath? You should try, it's fun
We brought the big boys upstairs so that they could take part in the event but they wanted nothing to do with us. As soon as we got upstairs, they went into their room and started playing. It's funny because Tman doesn't actually sleep in this room yet he is at ease in it when it's not bedtime. One day maybe he'll join his brother

Bean enjoying himself in the bath, 5 weeks and looking so grown
Check out my little Bean holding his head like a big boy. I love those cheeks and beautiful brown eyes. He looks so serious my boy
All cleaned up with grandma
Bean's first bath was a great success. His hands are now free for some exploration. Next up we will get him ready for tummy time. I love documenting my babies' milestones.
Married to the love of my life, mom to three boys and a girl, loving every minute of this crazy life with my crew

Spring is finally here
Hip hip hooray, Spring is finally here. The weather is finally warm for long enough that we can go outside and enjoy. YAY. I have been waiting for this for a long time and so have the boys. We've been stuck inside for weeks and it's time to go outside and smell the roses :). It was a beautiful 60 degrees and sunny the past few days and I took advantage of that to take the boys outside.
The boys were so happy to be outside riding their bikes. They were chasing each other everywhere and giggling away. Pure joy I tell you
Tman discovered that there was a little sloped area at the end of the driveway and down he went
Jbird of course followed in his footsteps
After riding their bikes for a while, they wanted a change of pace so I brought out the bubble making machine. We had so much fun with that a few weeks ago I figured we could enjoy it again. Check out Jbird carrying the bubble juice
Then he started chasing his brother around for the machine
Tman was nice enough to share, which made Jbird really happy
But of course when Tman got the machine back we were back to tears
Jbird has to learn to share
While the big boys were hanging out, Bean was taking a quick nap in the baby carrier. I so love that my baby is big enough to be carried and seems to love it. I love baby wearing and will need to do that in order to handle all the boys so this was a great start.
I took a few pictures with my big boys before we went back inside. It was impossible to take a picture of Tman and Jbird at the same time but I figured a picture with each of them is still not bad.
Me, Bean and Tman
Me, Bean, and Jbird
YAY for beautiful weather and outside play time. I am so happy that the weather is finally nice enough that we can spend some time outside. I hope this means that Winter is over because this Winter has been brutal. Now I just need the weather to be warm enough that we can do water play outside, not asking for much of course :).

I let them roam on our little cul de sac area and even Jbird who can barely reach the pedals was having so much fun

Weekend fun - my brother J was here
My brother J is in pharmacy school a few hours away from home so we only get to see this kid during the holidays. He is so busy but we know he'll be done next year and it will all be worth it. Well, he took some time away from his busy schedule to come visit us this past weekend and actually spent some time hanging out with the boys. It was awesome.
We spent the weekend hanging out with J, watching soccer, and hosting a few friends that came to see Bean. It was a super chilled yet fun weekend.
By the way, one of my favorite pictures from this weekend was this 3 generations picture of my hubby, his dad and the boys. Yep, we are populating the earth one boy at a time :)
The boys were so excited to see uncle J that they spent the first day hugging and playing with him. We hadn't seen him in 2 months so that was awesome for sure.
Every weekend, my hubby watches soccer, boring I know. When Arsenal, my hubby's favorite team, is playing, hubby and the boys all wear their Arsenal shirts to watch the game. This is pretty much a typical scene at our house on the weekend
Speaking of Jbird, how loving is this boy towards his brother. He is always giving him the sweetest little kisses and I love that he actually holds his head and makes the kiss sound. Adorable for sure
Hubby and Bean chilling on the couch, I totally forgot to put Bean's matching Arsenal shirt. I am a slacker these days I tell you :)
On Sunday we let the boys ride their bikes around the house. Can you believe it was snowing outside. Crazy I know. I am so looking forward to a warmer weather, Spring where are you?
I lifted my Tman so that he could be closer to our heads :). Family of 5 pictures are going to be tricky but I am not giving up on my tradition
Guess what came in the mail a few days ago, these super cute personalized Easter baskets I got for the boys and my niece. I wanted something small that they can use for a few years. I so love how they turned out, I mean how cute is the girl basket with the bow. You know I will be doing a photo op of all the kids with their baskets full of goodies on Easter.
I am so happy that my brother J was able to come visit us for a few days. Man, I am going to be so happy when he is done with school and is home with us all the time. The boys really enjoyed hanging out with him. We had an awesome weekend, I am glad we are somewhat back in a routine (barely but getting there slowly)

Bean did get to hang out with uncle J the next day while the boys were too busy on their tablets. We had a few friends over to see the baby and it turned into a party as we do
And because we were all somewhat decent, I did my usual family pictures. It's a little more tricky now with 3 kids but I love how these turned out. I probably should clean up around us a bit before taking the pic just in case we end up with a gemI lifted my Tman so that he could be closer to our heads :). A day in the life with 3 boys
Since hubby returned to work last week, I've been home alone with the boys most of the time. My mom is off 2 days of the week and spends those days with us so I am really only alone with the boys 3 days of the week right now. The first few days were complete chaos but we managed to get organized and slowly but surely we are getting the hang of things. I have yet to take all 3 kids out with me by myself, I am not that brave yet but I am getting there (baby steps)
I discovered these cool collages and I couldn't help but make one of my little bear Bean. You guys, collages might become my new thing :)
I nurse Bean to sleep then separate the boys so that I can shower too. I take a shower with Jbird while Tman is in the bath doing his thing. Check out my sleepy Bean
Once I am done showering, I take care of Jbird and Tman. Once they are ready then I get ready while they run around in our room. I then take the boys downstairs to watch some TV while I clean Bean up. Today the boys decided to watch a cartoon on the kindl
Me with my Bean all cleaned up. I managed to get all 3 boys and myself cleaned up today, YAY
The boys decided that they wanted waffles for lunch and wanted to have a picnic. I indulged of course. As long as they are eating I am game
I joined the boys on the blanket for our picnic, gotta love self timer
Tman's face is priceless, he was so excited about the picnic and Diego on the kindl :)
After lunch I rewarded the boys with ice cream and they were in heaven
They both got on their tablets and went to the kitchen. They are funny like that
After lunch and ice cream, I tried to get the boys to nap by taking them into the tent (their new favorite hang out spot). I was inspired to take a selfie with all 3 boys, what was I thinking. Bean was definitely not having it, poor kid is not used to his mommy's taking loads of pics yet.
I love that Tman smiled in this one. Tman is the kid with a smile, Jbird has a confused look of let me drink my milk please, and Bean is not having any of it. I love my boys, how did I get so lucky.
We had some snacks and before we knew it, hubby was home, YAY. The big boys always chase him around or go downstairs to play video games or play with trains which gives me time to get dinner ready in peace and even sneak in a little half hour nap with my Bean. Power naps are the best I tell you.
After dinner, hubby made a smoothie, he has been into making those a lot lately. Anyway, the boys are fascinated by the noise from the blender
Jbird particularly thinks it's the funniest thing. Check him out laughing over there
Jbird really couldn't contain himself. I zoomed in on this picture a million times. The face of my Jbird is priceless
After the smoothie, we chilled for a bit, watched some TV and before we knew it, we had to get the boys ready for bed. Our bedtime routine is usually me chilling with Bean and Tman and Jbird joining me to drink their milk. Then hubby takes Jbird to bed and after that he takes Tman to bed. I didn't actually take a pic on the day I was doing this but this pic is from the next day. Me and my boys before bed
After everyone is gone to bed, it's just me and my Bean chilling and relaxing.
Our days are full for sure but I must say, it's a lot easier than I thought it was going to be. Nap time doesn't always happen and we are not doing all the things I want to do but we are surely having loads of fun. I am glad we don't have much planned out so we just go with the flow of the day. I am so looking forward to the weather being nice so that we can let the kids loose outside and wear them out. That's our day in a nutshell, busy yet fun. I am hoping to get even more efficient as time goes on. This 3 kids business is not so bad after all :).
I discovered these cool collages and I couldn't help but make one of my little bear Bean. You guys, collages might become my new thing :)
Anyway, back to our actual day. I am lucky enough that both my boys sleep in. Tman usually doesn't get up until 8am and he is fine with staying in bed for another hour as long as he has the Ipad and can watch a movie or something. Jbird doesn't wake up until at least 9 or 9:30. I know, don't hate me. Bed time is the tricky part I mean Tman still sleeps in our bed but that's a story for another post.
Anyway once the kids are awake, I usually make them breakfast half awake and let them eat in the living room while I nurse bean and we watch TV.
By the time we are done with breakfast I am usually awake finally and it's usually about time to go upstairs and take a bath. Bath time is my favorite because the boys get to play in water and that makes them really happy. I am a pro at getting all 3 boys and myself showered and dressed all by myself now, woop woop.
I put Tman and Jbird in the bath and let them play for half an hour to 45 min. During that time I am usually hanging out with Bean while watching the boys do fun things in the bath like have a tea party or play hide and seek. My boys are hilarious
Check out Jbird's face, happy camper in the bath I tell you. Tman was hiding in the bath

Nap time didn't happen on this day but that was ok, we all just sat on the couch in front of the TV and rested for about an hour before they decided to start building with blocks. Build then destroy is the flavor of the week
While the boys played with blocks, I hung out with Bean until he fell asleep. I know, Bean spends a lot of time sleepingAfter dinner, hubby made a smoothie, he has been into making those a lot lately. Anyway, the boys are fascinated by the noise from the blender
