Fun times in Kitchener, Canada

What a great time we had in Canada with my BFF D and her kids this past weekend. My mom came with me on the trip with the boys. D and I have been friends for more than 20 years you guys, we met when we were just little girls living in Cameroon and our friendship continued to grow over the years. She truly is my longest and oldest BFF.

We took advantage of the long weekend and added a few days to make the trip less tiring. She lives in a small town about 2 hours from Buffalo, NY. I am a total bargain traveler so when I realized that the tickets to Toronto airport were 3 times more than the tickets to Buffalo, we booked the flights to Buffalo and added a rental car to drive across the border. I know right, with paying for 3 seats you have to be savvy. Plus this way we had a car the entire trip, win win.

This is how loaded we are traveling with 2 kids, 2 car seats, a double stroller and luggage. I tell you, traveling with little kids is not for the faint of heart, my mom does it in style though :)
Once we checked everything in we were much lighter and happier, YAY. Check out Tman not wanting to be in my picture, that child of mine I tell you
We made it to Buffalo in no time, it was cold
The weekend flew by, there was lots of catching up and hanging out. You will be so surprised to hear that I didn't take a whole lot of pictures. It's crazy, I know, that's not even my style. I got to tell you with 4 kids running around and not participating, it was not easy to get my picture fix. I mean most of the pictures looked like these

Our four children hanging out and no one is looking at the camera
My mom and D wrestling the kids for a picture
Me trying to gather the kids for a picture
Me and my mom trying really hard to get these kids in a picture
Yeah, all the pictures were crazy as you can see but we wouldn't expect any less from 4 kids 4 and under.

My friend D and I with our 4.5 kids :). 20 years of friendship, God has been good to us
We did manage to get a picture of all of us with the kids somewhat looking normal. Score
After an awesome weekend we headed home. We drove back to Buffalo and since we had a few hours to spare we chilled and enjoyed some lunch before heading to the airport.

My mom and my second boy, Jbird is the happiest baby I tell you
Me and my first boy, he was in a good mood and actually smiled :)
Tman started acting out and refused to get a family pic with us but look how happy my Jbird looks
At the airport I tried to get a few pictures with my boys as I do, but I was not very successful
but I so love this picture. Jbird was trying to escape my photo op, all he wanted to do was run around the airport. Tman just grabbed him and gave him loads of kisses. That's their relationship and I love it
My mom was much luckier, she got smiles from everyone, always saving the best for grandma
Our trip to Canada was awesome. We had a great time hanging out with my friend D and her kids. D and I try to visit each other every year, it's not easy living in different countries but we make it work. Hopefully our kids will grow up to be great friends too.

  8. It usually is cheaper to fly out of or into the states if your not getting a flight within Canada. yay to 20 year friendships :) Sometimes when you're visiting there just isn't time to take pictures or you just plain forget! plus with 4 kids running around I sure you guys were super busy!

glad you had a great time in Canada!
