Anniversary trip to Jamaica

Our anniversary trip to Jamaica was amazing. I mean, a whole week in a beautiful tropical place with my main squeeze, you can't beat that. We spent most of the time drinking, eating, resting, and just enjoying the free time. It was grand. I did miss my little one's so much though. After 3 days, I was ready to come home.

Onto the recap of the trip filled with lots of pictures. We stayed at the Riu resort in Montego Bay. it was truly beautiful and peaceful. We were very happy with the choice.

Every night before going to dinner, we took silly pics in the mirror, wait you don't do that on vacation? you should start it's fun. This is my hubby's favorite thing to do because he loves to make crazy faces.

The Riu hotel got us matching red hats for our anniversary. How did they know that red was our color. We didn't really care much for the hats but we figured we would at least take a pic with it :).

We drank our way to our vacation, gotta love all inclusive resorts. We got colorful drinks because we could and of course I got drinks to match my nails. I love doing that. My hubby photobombing my attempt at a selfie with my matching nail polish and drink

The blue ocean ended up being hubby's favorite while I was all about the pina coladas
We chilled by the pool a lot because we could. What else is there to do in the tropics. We would usually lay by the pool after breakfast for a few hours. It felt super nice.
Relaxing by the pool, what up?
Sitting in the pool

We also hung out on the beach. We did that most afternoons after an awesome nap. It was grand

We also got dressed up every night and enjoyed a nice dinner at one of the restaurants on the resort. It was nice because it felt like date night every night.

The day before we left we climbed the Dunn's river falls. It was the only adventure we planned to undertake during this trip and we are so glad we did. We had such a great trip, our batteries are definitely recharged. I was feeling so tired before we left and now I am totally refreshed. I guess all we needed was some rest. This trip couldn't have come at a better time.

Jamaica was amazing. I am so looking forward to taking my boys there one day. We did learn that we don't like being away from our children for a very long time, at least not at this stage of our lives. From now on any getaway trip without the kids will not be more than 4 days and if we want it to be more than that then we'll take the kids along for the ride. We are parents now and I think it's ok not to want to be away from our kids for too long.

  2. haha the matching nails & drink thats your trademark! Your trip looks fabulous, I want to go away on vacation now! I think that couple trips with kids only lasting 4 days is a good idea, if you're missing your boys for most of the trip that's no fun. better to take them along :)
