Meeting someone famous and daycare fun

This post is a complete hodge podge of things that happened in December but didn't really fit anywhere else.

So a few weeks ago my Tman and I attended a book signing. It was in the middle of the day otherwise I would have taken the whole family for a ride. I was really excited about this book signing because it was for one of the greatest General of our time, General Colin Powell. I absolutely love this man and everything that he represents. I want my children to aspire to be great men like him so of course when I found out about his book and the book signing I didn't want to miss it for the world. We stood in line for over 45 minutes so that we can shake his hand and get his autograph. It was worth every minute. I can't wait to read the book. Me and my Tman with the honorable General Powell, epic if you ask me :).
Totally changing gear. I have to share my Tman's school pictures. Last year was horrible, he was not a happy camper and the pictures turned out blah. I decided not to buy them. This year on the other hand, he was an absolute ham. The photographer had such a great time with him and he made the best faces. I couldn't help but purchase the entire package. Prepare yourself for an overload of cuteness.

Another change of gear :). Tman's daycare organizes parent involvement events every month so that the parents can come and make something with the kids. I am so lucky that Tman's daycare is a mere 5 minutes walking distance from my office so that I can actually make it to these events. December's parent involvement consisted of making a stocking with the kids. If it wasn't for these events I probably wouldn't do much crafting with my kid. I love my daycare.

Tman was so good at gluing all the pieces on the stocking

All done mama, my little goofball
The finished product on our tree. I am saving this for future Christmases. I am so proud of my Tman
And just because I can't possibly post a million pictures of my first boy without any of my second boy, I leave you with a picture of my Jbird. Such a dream baby (ok, he still doesn't sleep through the night but other than that he is a total dream)

  1. Oh my! The pictures are so cute! Love the expressions on Tman's face! The camera clearly loves him.
Jbird is such a cutie! Yup...our little one isn't sleeping through the night either. It is 3:22am right now and she just finished feeding and now wants to play. Oy! I hear it gets better. Looking forward to that.

  2. How awesome that you and Tman met Colin Powell! One day both of your boys are going to grown up and make a positive impact on the world like he has. I can tell from his school pictures that Tman is going to use his grace and charm to change the world! Yay for big plans for our kids futures!

  3. I love Colin Powell! & Tman is so adorable -- I can't take it. He did such a good job with the pictures! As for j-bird sleeping through the night - if you find a way to encourage it please pass it on. This lack of sleep is draining my existence lol.
