Hodge podge

I love pictures, like you didn't know. My favorite projects around our house are usually related to adding pictures of our children to our space. I have visions of what I want to do and I just love when they come together.

One of our walls in the living room holds pictures of Tman and Jbird around the same age (5 months or so) wearing a red shirt. I have decided that I will keep up that tradition and take such a picture for all of our children. Well, I just completed that picture for Bean and I must say I am super pleased with how it turned out. I've ordered them on canvas to update our wall and I can't wait to see them up.

I present to you my 3 sons and their red shirt. They truly have the same cheeks, eyes, chin dimple, and nose. They are clearly related :).
I love this picture of my Bean goofing off during the photoshoot. Can you see his 2 teeth showing there. He is one adorable and handsome boy, I know, I am clearly biased.
There is another photo of the boys in black and white in their diaper that I absolutely love. I got a similar pose with Bean and I am in love.
I can't wait for him to join his brothers above the door to the office
Another finished (somewhat) project are the pictures above our bed. We went with pictures of us with the kids with the kid being the main focus of the picture. I also added one of my favorite pics from our trip to Jamaica last year. I am so happy with the final result. I cant' wait to add a picture of each of us with Bean. We are waiting until he is at least 1 to take the picture like we did with his brothers.
This note from Jbird's teacher totally made my day. He's been crying non stop for the past 3 weeks since he started daycare, refusing to eat or sleep. I was worried but I think we finally turned a corner. The future is bright, Jbird is adjusting nicely to our new routine.
I found these gems at the store the other day and got so excited. I know it's a ploy to get us to buy coke product but it's definitely working on me :). I love that my kids have easy names that you can find on coke bottles. It's the little things in life
On Saturday, hubby was nice enough to watch all three kids so that I could get my hair and nails done. I was desperate for both. I almost always get red or french but this time I decided to go bold and try a different color. I love it. My family on the other hand not really impressed except for Tman who always smiles on demand now :). I love my Tman
Hubby is so done with pictures, he married the wrong woman. Hiding behind Bean and giving me the side eye. His question was "what are you taking a picture of?" My response "don't worry about it, just smile." hehehehehehe.
This is how I get things done when Jbrid only wants me to hold him. Thank goodness for that Ergo baby carrier, it's awesome. I am so glad that I got one because I am surely getting my money's worth
Speaking of Jbird, he is a happy camper when I hold him. I asked him to show me how happy he was to be in mommy's arms and this is what I got. I love my Jbird
My mom with all her grandchildren
My grandma is back, YAY. She spent the last 2 months away and we are so glad to finally have her back
Grilling this weekend was awesome. Look at those delicious steaks. Jbird and hubby were hanging out while he was grilling. That was the only way to get him off me so that I could hang out with Bean
Big boy Tman was just chilling with the Ipad of course and flashing a smile on demand. When did this kid get so big
In between grilling, hubby got to hang out with my mom
Look who was there too, my adorable niece who is turning one next month. Is that insane or what. I just love that her mom always has her in the cutest outfit and always with a bow. She is saving all those for me just in case I get to have a little girl one day ;). My niece and her mommy
Me and my beanie man smiling away. My baby is 6 months you guys, I can't even get over that
Jbird got a bit jealous and wanted me to pick him up too. My two babies, I guess they are only 18 months apart and that's totally expected
I gave Bean to my mom and kept Jbird. It's nice to always have an extra set of hands. I also love that Bean doesn't care who is holding him. I love my Bean
Oh and guess who is ready for football season, we are. I found these at Target and I was giddy with excitement. You know how much I love to put my family in matching outfits. The best part is that this is one matching that hubby approved. Go Redskins, hail :).
That truly was a hodge podge of things that happened this past week. We were busy during the week but enjoyed a pretty relaxing weekend. Tomorrow we are off to Sesame place, eeeeek. I can't wait, I mean the boys can't wait :).

Weekend fun - water water everywhere

We were really busy two weekends ago (yeah, I am little behind over here). We went to a picnic with water slides and attended a pool party for a 1 year old. My boys were in their element and enjoyed every minute of it. Being outside coupled with being surrounded by water is all that's needed for their happiness. Two days of water play back to back made my boys very happy. It made for a very tired mama but I am glad the kids had an awesome time.

The picnic was awesome, it's a yearly event and I love taking the boys to particularly now that they are big enough to enjoy all the attractions. I brought my mom along for the ride of course and she spent the day holding Bean with a big smile :). My mom is awesome.

My cousin came with us too and we chased Tman and Jbird all over the place
We started with the water slides, my big boy Tman was having a ball going down by himself
Smiling from ear to ear
My cousin took Jbird down the slide, he was too scared to go alone
My happy Jbird in the water
After doing the water slide a million times (ok not quite that much but it felt like forever) the boys were finally done. We took a break, changed into some dry clothes and had some snacks. After resting for a bit we were ready for some more fun. The boys headed for the bouncy house, one of their favorite thing to do.

My boys jumping around like horses
I am loving my Jbird's smile in this picture
and my happy Tman jumping for joy
These boys of mine, they always have so much fun together
Jbird was so tired after all the sliding and jumping that he passed out as soon as I held him. He joined Bean for a little nap. My kids will sleep anywhere I tell you. We've been blessed in that department
While his brothers took a quick nap, Tman had all my attention. He decided to go bold and try to jump by himself on the big trampoline. My little daredevil, he really is a big boy now

Loving the big trampoline
He did a few big jumps then he was done. I am so proud of my Tman
We also hung out with the clown for a bit before heading home. Tman requested michelangelo of course and I must say that clown really delivered.
When we got home we were all pooped. Tman passed out with Jbird. My cousin and I propped our feet up and watched some cartoons while relaxing. It was a Summer day well spent.
The next day we were back at it again. This time it was for a first birthday pool party. It was held at a local pool. I really liked this pool because they had a kiddie pool separated from the big pool and that makes a huge difference with little kids. We can hang out with them in the kiddie pool without getting completely immerse and they can be free to roam with minimal supervision.

As soon as we got there the big kids went straight for the pool. I left Bean with my aunt while hubby and I chased the boys in the water.
Hanging out with my boys in the kiddie pool
The boys just loved the freedom they got in the kiddie pool. Check out the smile on my Jbird's face and my big boy Tman owning the place
Hubby watching over the boys
Our attempt at a family picture (minus Bean)
My friend A was there too with her kiddos. I got to hang out with her in the big pool for a bit. She is having a joint birthday party for her kids in a few weeks, YAY for another fun Summer party.
We had a ball at the pool party. It was another beautiful Summer day well spent. I love Summer birthdays and all the hanging out that we get from them.

This was such a busy yet fun weekend. We are lucky to have family nearby to help us with the kids which makes it so easy to take them places. My mom is awesome, she always begged me to have loads of kids, I am so happy that she is so hands on and involved.

Last weekend was pretty relaxing, it was a much welcomed break after this busy weekend. Rest assure we are back to being busy next weekend. We are taking the kids to Sesame place and I cannot wait. I know Tman and Jbird are going to love it since they are in love with Elmo and so many of the Sesame Street characters. I even splurged and booked a lunch with characters, eeeek. I am so excited and can hardly wait. Hope you had a great weekend too.

Tman and Jbird's Birthday Party

Last weekend we celebrated Tman and Jbird's birthday with a joint party at pump it up. We've decided that since the boys birthdays are only 3 weeks apart, we'll make it a joint celebration from here on out. My boys love to jump everywhere and always enjoy the bouncy houses so we decided to indulge them for their birthday celebration this year.

Family and friends came to celebrate with us. We had a ball and so did the kids. Tman told me this was his best party (I know, that kid is awesome). I will just let the pictures do the talking; I hope you are ready for an overload of fun.

Before we left the house we of course got a family picture :). I know, my boys are all matching (it's like my disease, I love doing that)
It's party time. Bean with my mom and aunt. I love this pic of my baby and his rolls looking at the camera
My brother and my niece were there too, big girl is turning 1 next month
Me and my man before the craziness started
Tman went straight for the slides and kept going down with the biggest smile

Jbird got a chance to go down with my cousin and he was loving every minute of it

Even my niece got to go down the slide, she wasn't really impressed
I went down with my Jbird too :)
While hubby went down with Tman

And look at my little daredevil doing his thing
We moved on the jump house
And it was so much fun
We also had a bubble machine blowing bubbles throughout the party. My boys loved it. I knew it would be a nice touch
Bean was there too, hanging out with his granddad most of the time
Hubby's mom was there too hanging out with my niece
J and her family joined us for the celebration
She got cozy with Bean. I don't blame her, he is an adorable baby
And so is her daughter JOE
The mommies with the babies (of course Jbird was acting like a big baby as he does)
Hubby and Jbird hanging out when he wasn't attached to my hip
In the jump house with my boys

Tman requested a TMNT cake and we indulged
Tman was so excited about the cake, he started jumping for joy when he saw it
Happy birthday sweet boys of mine
Enjoying some pizza in their royal chair,

After the party, we went home where we let the boys open presents. One of them were the ninja turtles stuffed animals that we made for them a few weeks back. They loved it, we added music to them and let me tell you, the TMNT anthem is stuck in my head :).
My boy was so happy about his new friend Michelangelo.
We had a great time celebrating Tman and Jbird's birthday with our family and friends. They enjoyed every minute of it and Tman talked about it for days after the party. The boys are so loved and we are so lucky to be surrounded by such awesome friends and family.
