#Projectmilf - week 8

Week 8 of #projectmilf is upon us, you know that project where I am trying to become a Motivating and Inspiring Leading Female. This week is about reviewing our progress so that we can see how far we've come and where we are going.

Since we started the challenge I have actually gained about 5 pounds but I think that I am looking leaner not by much though. Since this is a long term goal I don't anticipate to see a whole lot for at least another month or so.

My hair has been growing and my edges have filled in quite a bit. I am so happy, I don't look like I have a receeding hairline anymore, YAY. I am not quite there but I hope that in a month or two I will be there.

So my goals are trucking along nicely and I am really happy about that. I am looking forward to doing a real update in a month when I get my hair done and the weather is nice enough that I can take pictures outside in my new bikinis :).

And because I have to post pictures with every posts, I want to share these pictures Tman took of us last Sunday. My baby loves to use the camera (got it from his mama) but he doesn't quite have the dexterity or balance. I tried helping him in this endeavor and it was pretty funny, he took over 10 pictures but these are the ones that tell the story.

Let's set the camera and get ready, well Tman snapped already :)
Hold on baby, we are actually not in the frame, snapped already again :)
Points the camera upward and snaps again, my hubby didn't think we were going to make it in the shot
YAY, he finally got it. He was so proud of himself.
And since I am sharing bloopers, I love this pic where hubby was talking while I was trying to get a kissing pic. He looks pissed off but I still love it
Well that's all for our update on #projectmilf and photo bloopers. Hope you are doing well with your goals. Let's continue to help each other through this endeavor.

Snowday fun day

Monday was awesome around here. I got to stay at home with my boys for the day and we even got to play in the snow. This was our first real snow this Winter, it was grand. Tman had the best time but Jbird not so much. I had an amazing time hanging out with my boys. Win win situation

We woke up to 3 inches of snow covering everything. Our backyard and front yard looked like a winter wonderland. I mean we woke up to this beautiful sight in the backyard
And this beautiful view in the front yard
I decided that instead of wrestling the kids in this snow to get them to daycare it would be best if I stayed at home with them for the day. This way Tman would finally get to play in the snow. Win win. There was a lot of win win on Monday.

I spent the day hanging out at home with my happy baby smiling away at me making silly faces. I was trying to get a picture of his teeth but that didn't happen, I got this beautiful smile instead
And my silly big boy making his best cheese face for the camera. This kid is a riot
At some point Tman decided that T-rex wanted to eat Jbird, such a funny boy. I love that my Jbird just takes it all in without complaining
After hanging out inside, it was time to go outside and enjoy the snow. I tried to get both boys to make snow angels
Tman was not having any of it, he just wanted to run around and eat the snow
Jbird was not having it either, he was screaming
My Tman started exploring the neighborhood
Walking up and down our street
Enjoying the snow

Tman was a happy kid. He really enjoyed the snow day
We had so much fun on our snow day. I am so glad that we actually got some nice snow to play in before the end of the season. Tman was definitely very happy. I love these days when I get to be a stay at home mom to my boys. YAY for snow day fun day.

Weekend fun - Celebrating a wedding

The weekend was awesome, I know I say that about all of my weekends. The thing is if none of the kids are sick and we get to do a fun activity and have some chill time then that's a successful weekend in my book.

This weekend we had a play date with a friend of mine whose baby is only 6 weeks younger than Jbird. We were pregnant together and now are enjoying our little ones together. On Sunday, my uncle and his wife celebrated 10 years of marriage with a party at their house. It was so beautiful. I love the idea of celebrating milestones years with close friends and family. I might steal that idea.

Saturday was pretty chill. My friend came over with her lovely son and we hung out for hours. The rest of the day was spent hanging out with the kids and catching up on the DVR.

Jbird hanging out with his friend.
Us with our kids (she has another son that was not here for the playdate).
Remember how Jbird doesn't like any food really. We were having ribs and he kept reaching for the food. I let him hold the bone and this guy went to town. Must feel nice on those gums. My baby doesn't want pureed food, he wants the real deal.
Sunday was the 10th wedding celebration of my aunt and uncle. My mom is one of 12 so I have fairly young uncles. Anyway, they invited family and close friends to celebrate with them.

Us with the happy couple
My mom and grandma were there too

I attempted to get a family picture, not my best effort
Tman took this picture of me and the hubby, future photographer over here
Tman was attached to my hip for half the party
Until he found magnetic numbers on the fridge and a friend of course
There was some dancing toward the end of the night. Tman cutting a rug with my mom
Me and my grandma going at it on the dance floor. She has great moves :)
It was an awesome party, my hubby was actually dressed up and that doesn't happen often so I definitely took loads of pictures :)
It was such a great party. We didn't get home until late but it was so worth it. I guess we'll be celebrating again in 5 years. We had another fabulous weekend, it was made even better by having a snow day today. How did you spend your weekend. I hope it was great fun.

Travel - Skiing in the Poconos

Four and a half years ago, we celebrated my cousin's birthday with a ski trip to the Poconos. We rented a house for the weekend and had such a great time. I don't really like skiing but I love hanging out, playing games and drinking lots of hot cocoa by the fireplace. The beautiful part about this trip is that her husband proposed while we were there. It was beautiful.

It was a beautiful house with lots of space for all 7 of us

My hubby being silly in the kitchen :)
That night we played cards, games and hung out with the crew, it was so much fun

 Jenga :)

The next day we hit the slopes for some skiing. It was a whole day event, I was so tired by the end of it. Me and my hubby sporting our Redskins hat. We love our team :)
My hubby looking cool on the slopes. He makes it look so easy

It was such a fun day, the birthday girl definitely had a great time
After skiing all day we went out to dinner to celebrate the birthday girl. We all got dressed up. The girls ready for a night out in the town
Her hubby proposed that night after dinner. It was so beautiful and so well timed. He did good. They've been happily married for 3 years now :).
The next day was spent relaxing and hanging out at the house and of course celebrating the newly engaged couple. We made an awesome breakfast and played some more games. Then before we left we took some pictures (of course)
The whole gang together, gotta love self timer
Me and my cousin before we left, we are both engaged, YAY
It was such a fun trip. I don't like skiing so much but I love hanging out with with my friends.

Weekend fun - St Patrick's day edition

I want to thank you all for your input and suggestions regarding choosing between Costa Rica and Jamaica. We've decided that we are going to Jamaica, wooohoooo. As some of you pointed out, I don't think that guided tours are for us. In addition, the idea of leaving on Tman's birthday just didn't sit well with us. He might not know but we definitely will. Costa Rica is on our short list and we'll do our best to make it there soon.

As far as the weekend, you know we live for the weekend around here and we love visitors. So when my hubby's cousins told us that they were coming to visit, we were ecstatic. I took Monday off so that we could have more time to hang out. We had so much fun hanging out with them and their 2 boys 9 and 7.

The boys eating lunch, Tman was so proud to be sitting at the counter with the big boys
They had a tiny snake that they got from their travel and they actually let Tman touch it. We are not getting one of those Tman, don't get any ideas
I love this picture of the boys. the big boys were trying to teach Tman how to write his name
And of course we got a family picture when my mom came over
The next day we took them on the tour of the city. It was such a cold day that we decided not to take Jbird with us. He stayed at home with my mom while we walked around the city for hours

The St Patrick's day parade was going on
Boys having fun on their daddy's shoulders as you do
Us and our Tman with the Washington monument and reflecting pool in the background

The kids at the World war II memorial, they were jumping everywhere
We attempted one of those fun pictures. It looks more like Tman is holding a sword. He was so proud
Well hello there Mr. Lincoln
After hours of walking around in the cold weather we came home and got cosy. The boys went down in the music room and made loads of noise. Don't they look like a legit band?
Jbird and I of course joined in on the fun :). Tman just wanted to play every single instrument we have. He is a future rockstar that one.
The next day was spent relaxing and building things
We played a very serious game of monopoly after dinner and I discovered that my Tman loves peas
What a great weekend as usual. We love our visitors and always look forward to hosting people. If any of you came to visit, we'd make sure to show you a good time :).
