Thanksgiving celebrations

I ate entirely way too much on Thanksgiving. My sister always hosts so we don't have to do anything but show up at her house, score.

The morning was relaxing, we woke up, made waffles and stuffed our faces. Then it was bath time followed by nap time and before we knew it, we had to get ready to go to my sister's house. This was my in-laws first Thanksgiving celebration in America. Unfortunately my poor father in law was not feeling well so he didn't join us for the festivities.

Before we left the house, we of course took a few pictures. I mean, my boys all looked decent so I had to capture that before they got all messy and crazy. Plus I did my hair and was feeling pretty sassy.

Almost 28 weeks with baby #3, can you believe that the 3rd trimester is here. Insanely good I know. My Jbird joined me for a belly pic. Look at that belly
Front view of the belly so don't do justice to it
I love this family picture, the boys aren't looking but they are actually smiling
After the mini photoshoot, we headed to my sister's house. We had such a good time at my sister's house. We spent the entire afternoon chatting away, enjoying some good food and just overall enjoying each others company.

Check out my nieces hanging out together (my sister's daughters and my brother's daughter)
My sister and my mother in law (I love that my in laws are here now and we get to hang out often)
Hubby and Jbird making faces, these two I tell you
My brother and my other sister all smiles
My grandma was there too of course, here she is hanging out with my brother and niece
Speaking of my niece, can you believe that she is 2 months old? She was the life of the party, so happy and alert and check out that bow
with my sister in law and our little ones. Check out how serious Jbird looks
Jbird was pointing at my niece saying "baby". PS - I am loving the way my hair turned out
My mom and the little princess who was passed out after a fun Thanksgiving celebration
I love my family, my brother, sisters, and hubby with Jbird
By the way, Jbird was attached to my hip most of the time. I not going to lie, as a working mom it's the best thing your child can possibly do. You don't get to spend every waking minute with them but they still want you just as much. I just love that.
Tman enjoyed the food for sure but his favorite was definitely the red velvet cupcakes
Me and my brother. Hello baby #3
Our attempt at a family picture, completely failed but we were all smiles. Love my family
The next morning I woke up to this beautiful sight, Tman and his daddy sleeping peacefully. This just warms my heart. Tman still sleeps in our bed, I know it's crazy but it works for us.
We had an awesome Thanksgiving celebration this year. I hope you did too. So thankful to have our family close by so that we can always celebrate together.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!

We have so much to be thankful for this year. God continues to pour abundant blessings on our family and we couldn't be more grateful and thankful. I am most thankful for my family and friends, my hubby, my Tman and Jbird, and more importantly, I am thankful for baby #3 growing strong and healthy.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone, from our growing family to yours.

The weekend before Thanksgiving

I love the Holiday season, best time of the year if you ask me. This past weekend was spent recuperating from the last busy weekend we had traveling. We had absolutely no set plan but chill with family and it was glorious.

Speaking of family, my in-laws have officially moved here, YAY. Are we the luckiest or what? It's been a few years in the making but God has been good, they sold their house in England and moved here permanently. We are truly blessed with both sets of parents now living within minutes of us. Now you know why we keep popping those babies :). We are blessed with family nearby to help us raise these little rascalls.

On Saturday we went to the mall to get our shopping on. My mother in law came with me and the boys while my hubby and his father stayed at home to get caught up on all the sports stuff on TV.

My mother in law with the boys at the mall
We ended up spending some time playing with trains in one of the kid store
My boys were in heaven, I might have to get one of these for Christmas
Even Jbird joined in on the fun
Sunday was spent at home relaxing, cleaning, taking naps together on the couch, watching lots of sports and just having a grand old time.

Hubby with a sleeping Jbird, aren't sleepy babies the best?
A sleeping Tman, I love taking these kinds of pics
When everyone was, the boys put together a bookcase. Tman really wanted to help. I love this age, I swear, he is so super helpful and always wants to fun things with his dad
I mean it was a family affair
Jbird with the final product, he was not helping at all but just destroying things but who can resist that super happy face
Jbird with his grandma smiling away, they are getting to know each other really well
My sweet second boy who just turned 15 months by the way
My sweet first boy making faces instead of smiling
I cannot wait to meet my third boy. I day dream about who he is going to look like, who he is going to be like, how well he is going to get along with his brother and I just know that he will fit so perfectly in our family. Hopefully he is a good sleeper like Jbird.

We had an awesome easy weekend and I am looking forward to the short week and Thanksgiving celebrations. Hope you all had a great weekend too.

Girls weekend in VA Beach

You guys, I've been non-stop these past weekends. What can I say, I am trying to do as much as humanely possible before baby #3 gets here because let's face it is way easier to travel with a belly than a little baby.

This past weekend, my friends L, C, and I traveled to VA Beach to visit our friend HJ who moved there earlier this year. I've known these girls for more than 13 years, and we've been together through College, engagements, weddings, baby making and so many life changes. I heart these girls.

Before I left early Saturday, I took my belly pic and my Tman was awake and wanted to be part of it. This boy of mine I tell you, he has a mind of his own. Jbird was still sleeping and didn't participate in the festivities. Jbird sleeps until 9am on the weekend, I know, don't hate me. He is a perfect like that.

26 weeks with baby #3, with my big boy in tow
I love this boy of mine, he is so sweet
It was a quick little weekend getaway so we tried to make the most of it. We didn't go to bed until 2am that night. We had so much fun

Me and HJ at lunch
We had lunch at this awesome all you can eat sushi place, the food was good I tell you
Me and my girls at lunch time
The view from our room, deserted beach what up
hehehe, who doesn't like a good selfie on our balcony with the beach in the background
Though it was a girls weekend, we did have dinner with HJ's new boyfriend. We were so excited to finally meet him that we broke the no boys allowed rule of the weekend.
The next day, we chilled, had breakfast and checked out the beach. It was not a bikini kind of beach weather but it was warm enough that we didn't need jackets. Can't ask much for a November beach trip. Here we are getting ready to walk around

Us with King Neptune, VA Beach style

No one wanted to be part of my bathroom selfie, who can blame them
Before we hit the road we of course took this awesome selfie :). Me and my girls. So blessed to have these awesome friends in my life. Can't believe that we've been friends for more than 13 years.
I am so happy that we were able to take this little road trip and enjoy some girly time. I love that my husband is always so sweet and ready to watch the boys so that I can spent some time with my girlfriends.

This was my last solo trip before baby #3 and I totally made the most of it. Bring on our trip to Houston next month with the boys. Our last trip before baby #3. Hope you guys had an awesome weekend too.

Fun times in Kitchener, Canada

What a great time we had in Canada with my BFF D and her kids this past weekend. My mom came with me on the trip with the boys. D and I have been friends for more than 20 years you guys, we met when we were just little girls living in Cameroon and our friendship continued to grow over the years. She truly is my longest and oldest BFF.

We took advantage of the long weekend and added a few days to make the trip less tiring. She lives in a small town about 2 hours from Buffalo, NY. I am a total bargain traveler so when I realized that the tickets to Toronto airport were 3 times more than the tickets to Buffalo, we booked the flights to Buffalo and added a rental car to drive across the border. I know right, with paying for 3 seats you have to be savvy. Plus this way we had a car the entire trip, win win.

This is how loaded we are traveling with 2 kids, 2 car seats, a double stroller and luggage. I tell you, traveling with little kids is not for the faint of heart, my mom does it in style though :)
Once we checked everything in we were much lighter and happier, YAY. Check out Tman not wanting to be in my picture, that child of mine I tell you
We made it to Buffalo in no time, it was cold
The weekend flew by, there was lots of catching up and hanging out. You will be so surprised to hear that I didn't take a whole lot of pictures. It's crazy, I know, that's not even my style. I got to tell you with 4 kids running around and not participating, it was not easy to get my picture fix. I mean most of the pictures looked like these

Our four children hanging out and no one is looking at the camera
My mom and D wrestling the kids for a picture
Me trying to gather the kids for a picture
Me and my mom trying really hard to get these kids in a picture
Yeah, all the pictures were crazy as you can see but we wouldn't expect any less from 4 kids 4 and under.

My friend D and I with our 4.5 kids :). 20 years of friendship, God has been good to us
We did manage to get a picture of all of us with the kids somewhat looking normal. Score
After an awesome weekend we headed home. We drove back to Buffalo and since we had a few hours to spare we chilled and enjoyed some lunch before heading to the airport.

My mom and my second boy, Jbird is the happiest baby I tell you
Me and my first boy, he was in a good mood and actually smiled :)
Tman started acting out and refused to get a family pic with us but look how happy my Jbird looks
At the airport I tried to get a few pictures with my boys as I do, but I was not very successful
but I so love this picture. Jbird was trying to escape my photo op, all he wanted to do was run around the airport. Tman just grabbed him and gave him loads of kisses. That's their relationship and I love it
My mom was much luckier, she got smiles from everyone, always saving the best for grandma
Our trip to Canada was awesome. We had a great time hanging out with my friend D and her kids. D and I try to visit each other every year, it's not easy living in different countries but we make it work. Hopefully our kids will grow up to be great friends too.
