Weekend Fun - Meeting fellow bloggers

So this weekend was pretty awesome. In addition to my regular hanging out routine with the boys, I got to meet two fellow bloggers. I have enjoyed following their blogs so when the opportunity to meet in real life came around I got super excited. J and Mrs Pancakes are both new moms too, we met for lunch (without  the kids) and had an awesome time giggling away and sharing baby stories. It was great, we are definitely doing this again. We also got the inside scoop on #projectmilf ;).

Me, J and Mrs Pancakes chilling at lunch, 2 glorious hours of girl talk later :)
Have you met some of your favorite bloggers in real life? You should totally do it if you have a chance, it was a lot of fun. I really like blogging and the opportunity to meet wonderful new friends.

Now back to the weekend. After bath time on Friday, we let the boys play in their diapers. Really Tman was running away from us and ended up on the bed jumping up and down. He was super cute as usual so I got the camera.

Tman having fun jumping on the bed, Jbird is so confused

I was able to get a picture of the boys just sitting. Big boy Jbird sitting all by himself (so proud of this kid) and Tman with his super cute smile (I love my kids)
Hubby broke the party and got Tman ready for bed. I couldn't resist taking a pic of my boys
The next day the boys spent some time playing in the playroom, I love watching them play together
I love this pic of Jbird and hubby, they are watching Tman jump on the trampoline and they seem to have the same posture and facial expression. Too funny
My boys hanging out. Tman and the kindl, he didn't want to share with his brother or look at the camera for that matter
My mom and Grandma hanging out with Jbird while I was out meeting J and Mrs Pancakes
Hubby and Jbird, these two are so cute together
And a self portrait of course. Tman was sleepy and wanted to cuddle then of course hubby decided to copy him by laying on my shoulder too. My hubby is too funny, even Tman thought so, he started smiling when his daddy did that
And since I haven't done one of Faith's #yeahiamwearingthis in a while and because I actually got dressed up this weekend, here is my outfit. My shirt and boots are from Macys.
This was another great weekend, a perfect combination of relaxing and hanging out. Hope you had a great weekend too. Did you do anything fun?

Tman's first haircut

My Tman finally got his first haircut. I wanted to grow a nice head of curly fro but his hair is so coarse I tell you. My hubby didn't feel like dealing with it and since he is in charge of getting Tman ready I had no choice but to go along with this plan.

I was really sad at first because I just love his hair, the color, the curls and all. But I am really glad we did it in the end. Plus like hubby said, he is not a girl (implying he shouldn't have to suffer to get his hair combed every morning) and it will grow back.

So we made the trip to the barber. At first Tman did not want to have anything to do with it
Then the barber offered him some candy and he was game. It was actually pretty easy overall, Tman did not shed any tears and I was really happy with the final result.

And of course a family picture because I love when we conquer milestones as a family
My sweet pea with his big boy haircut
I am loving his curls, you can see them better now that his hair is shorter
My big boy, 2.5 years and no longer a baby. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I am still going to try to grow a fro of curls at some point but for now, I am going to enjoy this big boy haircut and how easy it is to get him ready in the morning. The first haircut was a great success.

Golfing in the winter

How did I forget to tell you about our golfing adventure when hubby's parents were here 2 weeks ago. Anyway, hubby's dad is an avid golfer so we decided to do something golfing related this visit so that he at least did something he enjoyed.

We found out about this driving range that is more than that. It's outdoors but the tables are heated in the winter. They actually serve food and beverages at your table and it is affordable. We were sold. We took the whole family on a golf adventure and let me tell you it was loads of fun.

Me and hubby's mom at our table. It was so warm I took off my jacket as soon as we got there
Both boys were asleep when we got there, so we just put them in the corner and proceeded to play some golf
Everyone got some great plays in

Check out my hubby golfing in a Tshirt in the middle of winter

Then Jbird woke up so I put him in the baby Bjorn and just hung out with him
I even got to hit some balls with the baby in tow (though it was nice and warm, we were still outside so I had the baby in his bear outfit, very cosy)
During this whole time, Tman slept peacefully in his stroller for over 1.5 hours (I told you my baby can sleep anywhere)
I hung out with my Jbird and watched everyone else play some golf
Then my Tman woke up after his long nap (so blessed that this kid still naps so well)
Tman hung out with his dad until he was awake enough to play

Then Tman played some golf too :)

It was such a fun outing. Hubby's dad was so happy about this that we are coming back next time they are in town. We got to bring the kids along for the ride and spent 3 hours of great fun. Outdoor golf in the winter is my new favorite. If you have a chance, try it, you won't regret it.

Playing in front of the mirror

Thank you for all your sweet comments on my Jbird's 5-month post.

You know what happens when you have nothing better to do right, you start taking pictures of yourself in front of the mirror. Well that's what happened to us anyway. We didn't leave the house the past few days and just chilled at home and it felt great. We got caught up on house stuff, laundry and all that jazz. I am actually sitting here chilling with two kids asleep at the same time :).

It all started with me and Jbird taking pictures in front of the mirror earlier that evening
Then when we came up to get ready for bed, hubby and Tman showed us their crazy faces
Then Tman got flipped upside down
My hubby is such a goofball, he was going all out with the making faces game
How funny that Tman was really trying to copy hubby's face
hehehehe, don't give the camera to my hubby, he is crazy
 Then it was tickling time

Then it was time to actually get ready for bed
We had a great low key weekend. I am so excited that we get to stay at home with the boys tomorrow. I love 3-day weekends, thanks MLK. What better than to make faces in front of the mirror when you are bored? What crazy funny things do you do with your family when you are bored?
