Anniversary getaway

We couldn't resist taking a little mini vacay for our anniversary this year. Considering that we are having a baby any day and my mom volunteered to watch T-man for us it was hard to resist taking that little break just the two of us.

My mom watched T-man for 2 days while we took a trip to a local resort. We didn't get to take a babymoon so this was definitely a beautiful two fold mini vacay. We had such a great time doing nothing at all for a few days.

We dropped off T-man at my parents house and of course had to take a family pic before we left :)
The resort was less than an hour away. We got there in no time, had lunch then took a walk around to explore the area

We went back to the room and chilled for a bit taking silly pictures like this one of the belly with our legs :)
Or this one of our feet. Ah the beauty of having nothing better to do other than lounge around.
Later on we got dressed up and went to dinner to celebrate our anniversary. It was very nice

We went to a casino on the resort after dinner and lost $20 playing on the penny slots. It took a good hour. $20 well spent :). The next day we just chilled, had breakfast, went for a walk. My hubby vetoed taking pics during his relaxing time but I was able to sneak in a self portrait on our way home.

Thomas the train birthday party

We had T-man's second birthday party this past Saturday. It was a small very intimate party with only about 30 people. It was a Thomas the train themed party. T-man is obsessed with Thomas if it was up to him we would name his little brother Thomas.

We bought a few decorations to go with the theme but did not go overboard like we did with his 1st birthday. Plus I figured I didn't want to do too much this late in my pregnancy (call me lazy). My friend Melissa came down for the party. She is such a awesome godmother.

Without further ado, the pics of the event.

I love personalized banners, they add such a personal touch

I did a little photoshoot of my little man before everyone got there, such a fun kid

The cake was awesome

I love this pic of the girls, Melissa, me, my mom, my cousin, and my aunt
T-man and Melissa had so much fun together, these two always do
My friend found these super cute soccer booties for bebe deux, love it
PS - check out the size of the bump here, my little man is pushing out
And just because T-man and Melissa are such an awesome pair
We had such a great time celebrating T-man's 2nd birthday. Next year is going to be crazy, we'll have two birthday parties to plan for, oh boy, looking forward to that excitement.

My baby is 2 years old

Happy 2nd Birthday to my sweet little T-man. How is it even possible that my little man is already 2 years old.

It's been the best ride of my life. Life with my little man has been everything I hoped it would be and more. Happy birthday to my first born, the one who so gracefully, wonderfully, and perfectly introduced us to parenthood.

I want to take a trip down memory lane to the first few days of my baby's life (Gosh I can't believe that I am going to do this all over again with bebe deux in a few weeks, I just can't wait).

First snuggle with my baby (I just love this pic)
Less than 10 minutes old, all the labor pain was totally worth it
 Our first family pic
One proud grandma
Father and son
 Happy baby already :)
My family was there to celebrate the new arrival (my aunt, mom, grandma, and brothers)
So in love with this little being I just met

Happy 2nd birthday to my first born. Thank you for making me a mom and giving me the best title I ever held. I can't wait to do it all over again with your little brother in a few weeks.

And I hope ya don't mind, I hope ya don't mind that I put down in words... how wonderful life is now that you're in the world."

One year hair anniversary

About a year ago I started my healthy hair journey. What really triggered everything was the massive hair loss I experienced after I had my first child.  I have been extremely pleased with the results of taking good care of my hair

July 2010 pregnant with T-man, my hair is neck length
June 2011, at the beginning of my hair journey, my hair is shoulder length
November 2011, my hair is APL and I could use a trim

March 2012, after a much needed trim between APL and BSL
July 2012, a little over a year later and my hair is BSL and healthy. PS I am loving that I still see my waist at 35 weeks pregnant :)
I had to wear a shirt for the frontal pics, too much boob. You can see that my edges are not an issue anymore
And just because, the belly at 35 weeks
I hope that the hair loss is not too major this time around (I probably won't be as shocked). Either way I know my hair will turn around, so I am not that worried.
I don't have a real plan for how to take care of the hair after the baby. I will just go with the flow and see what works. I plan to baggy a lot because I'll be home all the time anyway plus I think that keeping the hair moisturized might help with the hair loss.
I already bought two wigs to wear as needed. I am totally ready. Barring any major setbacks, I hope to be MBL by christmas and WL by next Summer, we'll see.

If you are on a hair journey don't be discouraged the hair definitely grows with some TLC. If you are thinking about starting one, go for it, you will be impressed by your results. I don't have any plans to go natural anytime soon but you never know.

LA wedding - part II

The wedding was an outdoor ceremony. I thought we would be super hot but not really. I guess the beautiful southern California weather worked in our favor.

What a beautiful bride
I told you it was a beautiful setting
You may now kiss the bride
The happy couple walking down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs.
Me and two of my favorite ladies all dolled up
Me and the hubby, all dressed up. We clean up good

 The decoration was nicely done

 Our table

 Me and my boy
 Dancing the night away

What a great wedding and a perfect trip. It was nice to party with some of my favorite people on the west coast. I am so glad all went well with the trip and the wedding. This was my last plane trip before I pop this little one, I am glad to be home safe and sound. I was seriously tired from all the traveling and hanging out, I had to take 2 days off to recuperate.
