Brotherly love

My Tman is so proud to be a big brother I tell you. He is always helping, wants to hug the baby, play with the baby, and even carry the baby. I finally let him carry the baby and he was in heaven.

Tman cheesing for the camera, Jbird looks a little unsure about this
My mom was trying to take a pic too

I asked him how happy he was and this is what I got, such a great big brother
He was giggling away the whole time
My babies, my boys, my children, thanks be to God

and because we all looked half way decent we took loads more pictures

My Jbird winking ;)
 My Tman attempting to smile
the four of us and yes my Tman is smiling at the camera
Tman wanted to give me a kiss, I just love this pic, I am one lucky mama
The next day we let Tman hold the baby again and I just love Tman's and hubby's smile, did we say cheesing. My boys are so freaking adorable

Oh and just for fun, my now outside baby
It's been a truly great 2 weeks so far with my 2 sweet boys. Adjusting to a family of four is surely much easier than I expected it to be. It's definitely more fun and extremely rewarding. I have to pinch myself sometimes, it seems surreal that my Jbird is here with us. My heart is so full.

At home with my two boys

This is definitely not my first rodeo and it shows. I am a more mellow mom this time around. I am not worried about every little thing. It does help that I have an idea what to expect and I know that babies are resilient and won't just break. I know milk will come in at some point. More importantly, I know everything is a phase I have to get through.

Life with my two boys has been pretty blissful so far. It does help that we have more than 4 people staying with us and helping with both kids. I have been enjoying playing with my kids, taking naps as needed, pumping and feeding, taking lots of pictures, and just soaking everything in.  Not a moment has gone by that I haven't felt an overwhelming gratitude for my two boys, my children, my very own little pieces of heaven. God has blessed us beyond belief. Everyday I feel more and more fulfilled.

I am so in love my sweet second boy that I think every post should start with a picture of him. I love this sleepy phase a lot. I am enjoying every minute of it as I know it won't last forever.
And of course I have to include my first son because he is just as awesome as his little brother
YAY, the milk is in and I have reclaimed my cow status. That's one less thing to worry about. The milk came in much sooner this time around, my Jbird nurses so well. I still have to pump because I am clearly making a lot plus that will help with my milk supply when I go back to work in 10 weeks.
I am not afraid to let Tman play with Jbird and Tman loves it. I think he is going to be an awesome big brother. I used to be so scared to let anyone near Tman when he was this age. I love being a second time mom.

Let me hold your hand Jbird
 Look at the camera Jbird
What a sweet face, don't you just want to eat him up
And my Tman wearing his grandma's slippers and being his cute self
Tman being funny next to his brother
Tman my little helper wants to pump too :)
Every time I try to take a pic of Jbird sleeping he runs over to be in the pic and smiles, my Tman is such a riot

How cool is this little dude with his eyes wide open. I can't believe he's only been in our lives for less than 2 weeks. We just can't get enough of him, he is the perfect addition to our family.
Life at home with my two boys is pretty awesome right now. I am just overwhelmed by the amount of cuteness and happiness going on. I am just taking it all in and it tastes pretty darn good.

The day my heart doubled in size

The day my Jbird was born, my heart doubled in size and gave me room to love both my boys even more than I thought I possibly could. I don't think the arrival of Jbird took any love away from my Tman, I think my heart just got bigger to accommodate this sweet baby boy.

My labor and delivery experience was amazing. I knew what to expect and all but I was blown away at how easy and simple things were.

I had braxton hicks on and off for weeks. On August 14th around 5pm, I started having more frequent braxton hicks. I decided to start timing them though they weren't painful I figured it must be a sign. By 7pm I was having them every 10 min. I called my Dr who recommended I waited until I had painful contractions before going to the hospital.

Sure enough on August 15th around 1am I had my first painful contraction. I woke my hubby and mom up and we got ready for the hospital. By the time we got to the hospital around 1:40 my contractions were more and more painful and much closer. The Dr checked me and said I was about 5cm dilated. I barely had enough time to get checked in, get an epidural and there I was 10cm.

They wheeled me to the delivery room, my water broke on the way. By the time we got to the delivery room it was time to push. 15 minutes, 4 pushes later and my Jbird was born. We had a minor scare when his heart rate dropped ridiculously during the 3rd push but all was well. Turns out he had his cord wrapped around his neck twice. The Dr swiftly removed it and he started screaming, his body was a little blue but all was well within minutes.

The moment that we waited for finally arrived, our second son was born 2 hours and 38 minutes after the first painful contraction on August 15th at 3:38am. We are in heaven.

Meeting my son for the first time. They put him on my chest as soon as he started screaming. I was so happy, you would have thought I never did this before. I am glad it's special and exciting every time.
I just love this picture, my hubby was so happy and caring and I love that it was captured on camera

One proud grandma, I love that my mom is always in the delivery room with me :)
Jbird with his parents, we are so happy to hold this blessing
My son all cleaned up
Our family was there to support us. We are so lucky
My hubby's mom made it just in time to come to the hospital

A little funny story. When we got to the hospital, I was in so much pain that apparently I said that this was my last child and I was done having children. Well fast forward 2 hours later and we just delivered our Jbird and we are just soaking in the sweet moment and enjoying him and I tell my husband that the next time I will make sure to come to the hospital much sooner. The Dr turns to us and says "I thought this was your last child"....hehehehehe. Don't ask a woman in labor if she plans to have more children, definitely wait until she has her beautiful gift in her arms.

And then we were four

Thank you so much for your sweet comments on the arrival of our little Jbird. We really appreciate the love.

I am working on the birth story. It was a short and sweet delivery with less than 3 hours of labor. I know, feel free to hate me I couldn't believe it myself.

My in-laws came in from England the same day that Jbird was born (what a welcome) and they are staying for 6 weeks.  My grandma and mom are also staying with us for a few weeks. We are so lucky to have such a great support system.

The first week has been good so far. We are all slowly getting back in the groove of things. Tman is such a great big brother always giving his brother's hugs.

Our stork has arrived, we ordered a stork to announce the birth of our baby
My little Jbird, so peaceful this child

My boys, melt my heart. I am one lucky lady

We are enjoying life as a family of four so far. God is good and we thank him everyday for his blessings.

Stay at home mom

Thank you so much for your sweet comments and well wishes on the delivery of our sweet boy. I am still pregnant and patiently waiting for this guy to decide to join us.

I guess while we wait I can tell you all about the fun I have been having with my first boy. I have pretty much been a stay at home mom since my maternity leave started on Monday. I must say that I have been enjoying spending all day with my boy. We haven't done much, but relax, watch the Olympics, go for walks, and enjoy some water play. I pretty much nap two hours a day like my toddler and I love it. I know I won't have it this good soon.

I have taken way too many pictures of my little man during the few days that we have been at home together. These pics are from our few days of water play. I just set up a baby pool on the deck, gave him a few tupperware, and hours of entertainment were had by all. I hope that you are prepared for the overload of cuteness.

Then the clothes came off and my little mister started enjoying an outside shower

The next day we had another water play. I tell you my little man is a water lover

Such a happy boy particularly when he is sitting in a pool :)
Well hello there bebe deux, how nice of you to join us
Oh and check out my baby's face at breakfast the other day. He took over my croissant with Nutella and ended up with chocolate all over his face
I am definitely loving my maternity leave right now. I get to hang out with this sweet face everyday. You can't beat it. Definitely takes the edge of waiting for bebe deux.
