We do DC with our visitors

My friend Adrienne came to visit with her hubby and two kids. We love having visitors and luckily for us our friends and family always indulge :).

We decided to take them downtown DC to check out some sights and do some museums (it's free after all).

We started with the White House (a must see if you are in the DC area :))

I just love that everyone is doing something crazy in this picture

After the White House, we headed to the National History museum where we checked out dinosaurs and more. The older kids really enjoyed this museums something about recognizing some of the animals and just running around.

We also went to the Air and Space museum. T-man kept pointing at all the planes :).

  How sweet are these two
We stopped by the carousel on the national mall. The kids loved it.

By the time we had dinner in the city it was way past the kids bedtime. It was a long day but oh so fun. The kids all went straight to bed once we got home.

On Sunday we chilled around the house making crepes and just hanging out with the little ones.

I just love this pic of the kids getting busy in the kitchen, they really wanted to help
This picture is just so real, I clearly don't look made up all the time :)

Adrienne also attempted to take some maternity photos of us but T-man was not cooperating. I'll have to share those in another post.

It was such a great weekend, I wish they stayed longer. I do look forward to the next visit, we'll have 4 kids between the two of us. It's crazy we've doubled our numbers since we met 5 years ago :).

Scenes from Sunday

We celebrated mother's day at home with my mom, brothers, and my friend Melissa who came down from Philly for a visit. Our life is always hectic with lots of running around so when we get a chance to just sit and chill we indulge.

I woke up to my little one giving me lots of kisses, he is the sweetest (we sleep in the same bed so I pretty much wake up this way everyday). My mom came over and we started making breakfast and such. My brothers later joined us and we spent the whole day watching soccer, catching up, playing table tennis (the boys anyway) and taking lots of pictures. The weather was great so we sat outside for a bit and soaked up the sun. It was the perfect day and perfect celebration.

I just had to share T-man's gift he made at daycare, I just love it

I hope you all had a great mother's day Sunday.

Happy Mother's Day

Happy mother's day to all the women out there holding their blessings and all of those waiting for their blessings.

Happy mother's day especially to my blog friend Kathy who just welcomed her sweet little boy Avery. Welcome to the world little one.

My mom worked so hard to provide for her 3 children yet I was such a horrible and difficult teenager to my poor mom. I couldn't wait to leave the house and be away. And then I finally realized how amazing my mom was and I never looked back. We are so close now and I am so thankful for our relationship. I now live less than 5 miles away because I want to see her everyday. I enjoy and cherish our relationship and I am now grateful to have such a great mom.

Now that I am a mother, I want to foster a great relationship with my children. I know we are going to hit some rough patches and bumps along the way but I pray that no matter what happens we love each other above all.

And because it's mother's day, here are some pictures of me and my mom from last weekend. My friend took some shots of us in our backyard and they turned out great.

Cancun

Oh how I love vacations in the sun and ever since I discovered all inclusive vacations those are by far my favorite.

We had a great time just chilling and relaxing for a few days in Cancun. We never left the resort. We took naps when T-man was napping and just lounged around for hours and hours. It was grand. My mom really enjoyed herself.

I have one hot mama, I hope I age as nicely as her

These two always have such a great time together
 Awesome view at 25 weeks
Well, that was pretty much our vacation in a nutshell. Relaxing and enjoyable. Now I am just going to chill and relax until my little boy arrives in 3 months or less....Ahhhhhh (I had to read that over it's so surreal)

We are back

We are back from Cancun, such a great vacation. We had so much fun. My mom loved every minute of it (I think she is a new fan of tropical vacations).

We chilled and relaxed most of the time, ate lots of great food (particularly the fruits). I feel so refreshed.

I will come back with lots of details but I leave you with some pics of the trip.

It was such a great vacation with some awesome weather. More to come.
