Travel - London with the boys

We started our trip with 8 days in London. Once we found out that we were going to my cousin's wedding, we decided to include some time in London so that we could visit my hubby's family. Every single day was packed with activities, visiting and hosting family members, and going out do to fun things with the kids. We were so lucky, the weather was beautiful the whole time we were there (and that is really awesome for London).

When you travel with kids you have a lot of luggage. In addition to our luggage, we brought a car seat for each kid
Here we are ready to embark on our journey
The kids did so well on the plane. They played for about an hour then slept for 6 and woke up just in time for landing. It was grand. The trip there was definitely much easier than I thought. I highly recommend direct flights when you travel with small children

Self portrait and we all fit in the frame, what up
My sleeping beauties, they were out cold
Hubby's sister was off for the entire duration of our trip and just followed us everywhere, it was awesome. She got to spend lots of time with the kids. We spent the first day exploring London with the kids, it was such a long day but I am glad we did it with the boys.
Starting our day with a picture at hubby's metro stop :). I know, I am pretty ridiculous
We met with hubby's cousin and friend in the city and went to the Arsenal stadium

Then we took on the sights: Picadilly circus, Trafalgar square, London Eye, and a red phone booth. We were total tourists. My hubby didn't like it so much but he definitely was a trooper

The next day was grilling day. Hubby's sister's boyfriend hosted us and we had a ball. They had an awesome backyard and the weather was perfect so Tman ran around like a headless chicken for hours while we all enjoyed some pims (English special drink) and some adult beverages

 How cute are these two

The next few days we hosted and visited family and friends. It was busy but not tiring. Everyone was so happy to meet the kids. We are so loved

Out with hubby's friend

We then had a day of rest before we headed to Paris. We took advantage of that to go bowling and golfing. Such a great time

So hard getting a family picture with two wiggly kids
The next day we went to St Pancras to get on  the Eurostar. My cousin and hubby's cousin met us there to say goodbye to the kids
We are such posers :)

It was so sad saying goodbye to hubby's family. I wish we could have stayed longer. Luckily for us his parents are coming to visit very soon and we are all going to visit his cousins in Texas this Christmas. Our trip to London was a great success. We will be back, probably in 2 years.

  3. Awesome post! Your boys truly are loved! The smiles on everyone's face is definitely a testament to that.
Yikes! @ all that luggage. I think we'll be in the same boat come end of July. I am already cringing at the through of carrying all that luggage but I do love to travel so I guess its a small price to pay. Thankfully, we are flying direct so that should help.

  8. isn't that the truth, when you travel with kids you need to bring so much stuff!! It looks like you guys are having a blast, I'm glad the boys were easy for you on the flight. I'm thinking of flying to Calgary again this fall, kind of nervous flying with a baby though!

  10. Oh my, I can't even imagine how challenging it is to fly/travel with two little kids! It is stressful with just my husband and I! Sounds like they were both great! Love all the time with the family. So fun!
