Travel - London, England

My hubby is from London so it's no surprise that London is one of our favorite cities in the world. We used to go to London almost every month during the 3 years that we lived in Germany. We didn't do the sights every time (thank goodness). These pics are from the first Christmas I spent with hubby's family in London 5 years ago. This was also the first time that hubby took me on a tour of his city, I loved every minute of it.

We went to museums, I loved the mummy exhibit at the London Museum, we went up the London Eye, took a river cruise through London, and spent an awesome time celebrating with hubby's family.

Without further ado, the pictures from the trip

Every time we are in London, I always take a picture at hubby's metro stop on our way to the city :)
My poor hubby didn't want to take any pictures with the sights in London. I am from here he says, oh well I guess I am super convincing. His house is on the Central Line :)
 Science Museum

I love this pic of my hubby, that face and those eyes get me every time
Inside the museum was super neat

Then of course we went to Harrods

We also went to the British Museum
Self portrait of course

On our cruise trying to get a self portrait with the monument in the background. It was so cold for a cruise but we are troopers like that

On the London Eye, great view of the city from up there

I love this picture of us in front of the house of parliament across the river

This was a great trip. I just love London and never get tired to go back to see the monuments. If you've never been to London then put it on your list, you will not regret it. I look forward to our next trip to London next year with both our boys. I look forward to doing all these monuments again with our kids.

Weekend fun

Since it's soccer season, my boys have to dress up in their Arsenal shirts every time Arsenal plays. Hubby says every time they do Arsenal wins so it must be good luck. I just love that they have matching outfit :).

Clearly I couldn't resist taking a picture of this cuteness
Later on hubby and Tman played while we watched TV, they were so funny

I love this picture of hubby holding Jbird where you can see his tatoo. It says 7 and 25 in Roman numerals. It's our wedding date, we were married on July 25th. I know, I like to brand my man like that ;).
Jbird is becoming quite the chunky monkey. I just love all these rolls on my baby. chubby babies are the best
Enjoying the last days of warm weather with more water play
And some playground fun, can't believe Summer is over already

Me and my sweet Jbird.
And one of my favorite things to do, give my Jbird kisses
And because my grandma is so awesome, here is a pic of her with Jbird
Tman was already in bed so we took some pictures with Jbird alone
We love our boys so much, we are so blessed
On Monday we went out again without the kids. I am such a second time mama. With Tman I never wanted to leave him even for one second. This time around I am taking advantage of any time off I can get. My mom (who is one awesome mama by the way) watched the kids while we went to trivia night with hubby's friends. It was a great night, I actually got a few of the trivia questions right. We got home just in time to tuck our little Tman in bed. This night was a great success, our smiles say it all.

The weekend was good around here. Only 3 more weekends of maternity leave left then it's back to work :(. I better enjoy the few weeks I have left at home with my boys. I am going to miss these days of being a stay at home mom, I guess I will have to make the most of the weekends and days off.

Visitors, baby acne, and tummy time

My friend Melissa came to visit this past week. Since I am on maternity leave, she took a few days off during the week so that we can hang out. She is such a great friend. Tman was so happy, he spent the two days attached to Melissa's hip :). They always have so much fun together.

There is always a lot of cuteness going on with these two
She also got to spend some time with Jbird, not much because Tman wanted all the attention
She brought Tman crayons you can use in the bath and they used them to write on the tile. They definitely had fun in the bath :)
Once they were both cleaned, I made sure to take some pictures of them looking good

My brother also came to visit during the week, we. watched the debate together. He is passionate about politics and I just like hanging out :). I love the way him and Jbird seem to be looking in the same direction and not at me.
I despise baby acne, my poor Jbird's face is covered in it. You can't see it well in the pic but pretty much every spot on his face is covered. I keep it moisturized and hope that it goes away in the next week or so. Tman had baby acne too and it was gone in 2 weeks.
Look who is holding up his head and not crying during tummy time. Jbird absolutely hates tummy time and always screems bloody murder when I put him down except for this time where he just held his head up. Thank goodness the camera was handy :). My baby is getting so big
And of course my crazy Tman who has to do tummy time with his brother. He always runs for the mat and wants to do the same as Jbird. This kid is so funny
We had another great week. We love having visitors and it always is such a treat to hang out with Melissa or my brothers. Baby acne, I don't love you at all, please go away.

Post partum recovery - Hair update

Things have been good in the post partum department for me this time around. Even my hair, which was seriously damaged after my first baby, has been doing really well so far. I am only 7 weeks post partum so there is still time for something to happen but so far so good.

Last time I started noticing post partum shedding around 7 weeks and by 3 months I felt bald. This time around I decided to focus on keeping my hair moisturized often. I have been baggying almost every other day for the first month after I had the baby. When I was not baggying, my hair was usually in a ponytail. I mostly left my hair out whenever I had visitors and when I was air drying.

Here are my edges at 1 month post partum, still looking good for now

I got my hair relaxed around 6 weeks post partum and got a trim. I was really pleased to see that I didn't lose any volume.

1 week post relaxer and almost 7 weeks post partum, air dried hair after a wash
I have been wearing my hair out more since my relaxer over a week ago. I like that I actually have more time to do something with it. It's mostly in curls from flexi rods or straight from being air dried. I got my hair straightened when I relaxed but forgot to take pictures (can you believe that).

Straightened hair the day after the relaxer (6 weeks post partum)
I have a new love affair with flexi rods. They give the hair much needed volume with waves and they are so easy to do. Best of all they don't require any heat. I usually put 5 flexi rods in my hair at night and unravel them in the morning. I can wear my hair that way for 2 days before I need to redo it. It's my new go to style

Hair after flexi rods, love the waves they give to the hair

Air dried hair after a wash
Overall things have been going well in the hair department. I hope that things continue this way. I will do a length check at the end of the year when I get my next relaxer. I am getting so close to my goal of healthy relaxed waist length hair. I am probably only about 3 to 4 inches away, I hope to be there next Summer.

Hubby's birthday

Happy Birthday to my hubby, my baby daddy, my best friend, the love of my life. He turns 29 today, wow. When we met he was just 21 years old. It's crazy how time flies. I look forward to celebrating many more birthdays with this man.

My boys in their matching Arsenal outfit.

We celebrated hubby's bday a few days early since his parents were in town and were leaving before the day. We all got dressed up and had dinner. Before dinner, I totally made an improvised photoshoot, it was a great success.

My grandma with the kids, look how happy my Tman is (he was smiling away the whole photoshoot)
Hubby's mom with Tman, he wanted to hang out with Elmo and his crew so we had to bring the blanket down
Look at my happy little Jbird, this baby is getting so big, I am in love
Hubby's mom with Jbird
4 generations with my Jbird smiling, I love this pic of us
I tried to catch the smile on camera, my happy boy
My mom with the kids
I love this pic of the 3 generations and Tman smiling is just the best
The women wanted to be part of this pic :)
Another 4 generations, this time with both boys
Me and my Jbird, this baby makes me so happy, I can't get enough of him
I love that my camera is always on the ready, I always end up with some awesome family pics. Next year we are going to Vegas for hubby's 30th and we are taking the kids. Oh boy, it's going to be interesting. I guess I have a year to plan :).
