Christmas is so close I can taste it

You guys, I can't believe that Christmas is so close. Crazy talk. I am so not ready but I should be just in time for the celebration. We are hosting this year as usual and I am excited to celebrate Bean's first Christmas.

In the spirit of Christmas traditions, I took the boys to see Santa. After a failed attempt over the weekend, we tried again during the week. I didn't have high expectation of ending up with something but somehow the boys cooperated, Tman wanted some alone time with Santa, Jbird was so happy to see Santa, and poor Bean just cried.

I give you my sons with Santa this year, I am so in love with this picture. How cool is our Santa by the way, always has a smile on his face. Merry Christmas everyone :)
My BFF Melissa was in town for the day last week. She stopped by to visit us on the way to spend Christmas with her family. While she was here, we took the boys to see Santa first thing in the morning and it was the best idea ever. We were the only people in line and we even got to talk to Santa without feeling rushed. It was awesome

Tman and his aunt Melissa, these two are so adorable

I love this picture a lot, the adoring eyes between Bean and Melissa and of course Jbird trying to escape so he can run around everywhere like Tman
After our visit with Santa, we had lunch then came home and hung out. Melissa bought the boys some sweet gifts. She is such an awesome auntie to my boys.

The foot piano was a hit

After we put the boys down for a nap, aunt Melissa got to cuddle with Bean. She is a natural at this baby thing.
After we put the boys to bed for the night, we went out for drinks. It was nice to talk without the distraction of 3 boys running around. We enjoyed a few drinks and some desert. Long gone are the days of us getting drunk until the wee hours of the night but I treasure these few hours of peace spent enjoying each others company.
The next day she was gone. I miss her so much already, I wished she lived closer. A trip to Texas has to be planned soon.

The rest of the week was super busy catching up on life and things. I got a smartphone a few weeks ago you guys, my first ever smart phone. It is so nice because I now take pictures of random moments (as if I didn't take enough pictures already)

Tman was super sweet giving away kisses like candy. I was able to capture this moment thanks to my smartphone :)
I got my hair done and had to take Tman with me. Check him out mimicking me under the dryer
Check out my big boy getting a haircut. Gosh, when did he get so big
Me and my Bean who is wondering why I am taking pics in the bathroom mirror
I also got an Instagram account, I finally joined the 21st century :). I am loving the filters that you can add to the pictures, so cool. I have enjoyed playing with those of course.

Hubby getting the boys ready in the morning. He started a new job this month and he now leaves at the same time I do in the morning. It's awesome because I now have help in the morning
Hanging out at hubby's parents house with the boys, their beautiful Christmas tree is up
Hanging out at my parents house and enjoying the Christmas tree there too
Hubby and I got to hang out like grown ups this past weekend. His parents were kind enough to watch the boys so that we could catch a movie and eat dinner out without the kids. It was grand, we definitely indulged. We saw "Horrible Bosses 2" and it was so funny. I laughed the entire time. Hubby didn't want to smile for my picture but whatever
After the movie we went to an early dinner and were able to eat in peace without chasing any kids.
We came home, put the kids to bed then went out again. My mom took over babysitting duties at this point. I know we are so blessed to have such an amazing support system. Because of it we are able to have balanced life and not be stressed out in the process.

We went to a local bar with some friends. Since it was the weekend before Christmas, everyone was dressed in some sort of Christmas related outfit. We were lame and just put on Christmas hats but hey it's better than nothing.

Our crew for the night
We even made it to two bars before we had to call it a night
Phew, what a crazy busy week and weekend it has been. Now it's time to go enjoy the most wonderful time of the year :). I am just giddy with excitement right now. Merry Christmas to you all, I hope you have an awesome time celebrating with your families.

  1. Your baby on Santa's lap reminds me of myself one Christmas, I was very scared of Santa for some reason when I was a young kid... This photo is going to be the family classic like the one I had taken when I was 3 years old, lol!!!
