Fun times in Kitchener, Canada

What a great time we had in Canada with my BFF D and her kids this past weekend. My mom came with me on the trip with the boys. D and I have been friends for more than 20 years you guys, we met when we were just little girls living in Cameroon and our friendship continued to grow over the years. She truly is my longest and oldest BFF.

We took advantage of the long weekend and added a few days to make the trip less tiring. She lives in a small town about 2 hours from Buffalo, NY. I am a total bargain traveler so when I realized that the tickets to Toronto airport were 3 times more than the tickets to Buffalo, we booked the flights to Buffalo and added a rental car to drive across the border. I know right, with paying for 3 seats you have to be savvy. Plus this way we had a car the entire trip, win win.

This is how loaded we are traveling with 2 kids, 2 car seats, a double stroller and luggage. I tell you, traveling with little kids is not for the faint of heart, my mom does it in style though :)
Once we checked everything in we were much lighter and happier, YAY. Check out Tman not wanting to be in my picture, that child of mine I tell you
We made it to Buffalo in no time, it was cold
The weekend flew by, there was lots of catching up and hanging out. You will be so surprised to hear that I didn't take a whole lot of pictures. It's crazy, I know, that's not even my style. I got to tell you with 4 kids running around and not participating, it was not easy to get my picture fix. I mean most of the pictures looked like these

Our four children hanging out and no one is looking at the camera
My mom and D wrestling the kids for a picture
Me trying to gather the kids for a picture
Me and my mom trying really hard to get these kids in a picture
Yeah, all the pictures were crazy as you can see but we wouldn't expect any less from 4 kids 4 and under.

My friend D and I with our 4.5 kids :). 20 years of friendship, God has been good to us
We did manage to get a picture of all of us with the kids somewhat looking normal. Score
After an awesome weekend we headed home. We drove back to Buffalo and since we had a few hours to spare we chilled and enjoyed some lunch before heading to the airport.

My mom and my second boy, Jbird is the happiest baby I tell you
Me and my first boy, he was in a good mood and actually smiled :)
Tman started acting out and refused to get a family pic with us but look how happy my Jbird looks
At the airport I tried to get a few pictures with my boys as I do, but I was not very successful
but I so love this picture. Jbird was trying to escape my photo op, all he wanted to do was run around the airport. Tman just grabbed him and gave him loads of kisses. That's their relationship and I love it
My mom was much luckier, she got smiles from everyone, always saving the best for grandma
Our trip to Canada was awesome. We had a great time hanging out with my friend D and her kids. D and I try to visit each other every year, it's not easy living in different countries but we make it work. Hopefully our kids will grow up to be great friends too.

Travel - Calgary, Canada

Two years ago we visited hubby's cousins in Calgary, Canada with our little Tman in tow. They had been living there for a few years and it was about time we paid them a visit. We spent a week hanging out and doing fun things with them.

These girls are the sweetest, they spent the whole time driving us around town to show us all that the city had to offer. They were so mesmerized by Tman and just showered him with attention
Driving around town in the jeep, what up
Tman loved the dog bed and only wanted to drink his milk laying in it, this kid I tell you
We took him to a restaurant where they bring a moose head to put over your head when it's your birthday. Tman was not loving it. The things we do to our children :)
Look how tiny my 14-month Tman is in this picture playing soccer with his dad

While we were there, they took us on an awesome day trip to Lake Louise, what a beautiful place. I mean it was simply breathtaking. We so enjoyed that visit, if you get a chance to go, you totally should, it is so worth the visit.
Check out this view

 That sweet face
Me and hubby's cousins went in total photoshoot mode, we couldn't help it with such a beautiful view. We are such posers

After hanging out at Lake Louise, we took a quick walk downtown Banf. It was so much fun. my hubby was so not into taking pictures with random moose but me of course I had to.
My Tman with his little bear hat, doesn't he look so much like Jbird in this pic
My adorable little man
Our family of 3 in Banf. Less than a year later Jbird joined us, amazing
We had such a great time hanging out with hubby's family in Calgary. They've since moved to Houston and I can't wait to go visit them there soon. Family trips are the best, I do wish that we all lived closer so that we could hang out together more often.

Weekend fun - Chilling and relaxing

We didn't do much this weekend and it was awesome. I so needed the break from the hustle and bustle plus it's nice to have easy weekends once in a while. Also I didn't want to do much since I am traveling to Canada with the boys in a few days for an extended weekend. I am so excited about this trip, I am going to visit one of my BFFs. My mom is coming with me on the trip that way my hubby can get a free weekend to do boy stuff.

Anyway, back to last weekend. Guess who is 24 weeks, woop woop. I am so happy for every milestone that we hit and this is a pretty sweet one. I am doing great all around, still extremely tired but I am beginning to think that exhaustion is just going to be part of my life until this baby gets here (and beyond, no rest for the wicked). Baby #3 is a mover and a shaker I tell you, we can feel him on the outside now and it's pretty cool. All things considered this is my easiest pregnancy, say what? (I am knocking on wood right now because I might just jinx myself.)

24 weeks with baby #3, so happy the boys somewhat cooperated for this photo
Front pictures don't do justice to the belly because from the side, there is definitely a huge belly
On Saturday, I hung out with my grandma and we visited a family friend who recently had a baby. I swear, there is something in the water because everybody is pregnant or giving birth these days :). I am so glad I drank the water too :). It was such a fun low key afternoon.

On Sunday I hung out with my mom all day, we went shopping with the boys. I haven't been shopping in so long (I always buy everything online now) that I actually really enjoyed this. We went during naptime as we always do and while the boys (well Tman really) slept we got our shopping on. It was awesome.
My mom and the boys after we were done shopping
After shopping we went home to watch the game (well the end of the game). The boys had their team jersey on and so did my little niece. I know right she is joining in on the fun. Since all of them were in matching outfit, I of course went into full photoshoot mode.  Clearly wearing our team outfit paid off because we won this weekend, woop woop.

My beautiful niece who is 5 weeks now, she is the sweetest little girl you guys
I attempted a picture with all the kids, my boys were so not interested
My mom was luckier, here she is with all her grandchildren
I love this picture of my brother and his fiancee with the kids representing with our team's gear. Go Redskins.
My grandma didn't want to join in the photoshoot because she said she wasn't dressed up but of course as she noticed that we were all having fun she jumped in :).
PS - check out this picture of Jbird with my niece on Halloween, I just love it, he is going for the bow and laughing and my princess is just like, boys what can you do. Love these two.
We had an awesome weekend doing a whole lot of nothing. We need more of those in our lives. I am so looking forward to our trip to Canada in just a few days, eeeeek. Hope you all had a great weekend too.

More Halloween fun

There was a Halloween celebration at Tman's school and I made sure to be there to celebrate with them. They wanted all the kids dressed up in costume. They had a parade and a little trick or treat event. Tman insisted that I wear my costume with him so I of course indulged.

Me and my boy, ready for the parade
Tman surrounded by his classmate all dressed up. My son is always in action
Getting ready for the parade and some trick or treat fun
I had to share this pic of Tman's friend M, she is just way too cute in her outfit
My little man finding stuff in the bushes
After trick or treat and the parade, we went back to Tman's class
Then it was snack time with pumpkin shaped cookied
Me and my boy enjoying our pumpkin cookies at snack time
We had so much fun doing the Halloween celebration at school. I am so glad that I was able to take the time off to hang out with my boy.

Jbird was not there with us but I had to add a picture of him of course. Look what his new favorite thing to do is lately. He is helping me with the dishes while I make dinner. My baby looks so serious
Halloween celebrations were a great success this year. I am so looking forward to next year, I think we are going to go as the Incredibles, I mean they have 3 kids so it would be perfect.
