Honeymoon Hawaii style

With the cold winter out there (actually not that cold, it's about 60 degrees here), I figured I would take you to a warm place called Hawaii where we spent the most amazing time for our honeymoon.

Two days after the wedding, we were on our way to Hawaii. We stayed on Oahu and took a day trip the the big island. We didn't want to stay on Waikiki because we figured it would be super busy so we stayed at the Marriott in Koalina. It was far from everything (which meant we needed a car) but it was definitely worth it for the days of just relaxing and soaking up the sun.

Here is the view from our room, this hotel was really really nice
Sipping on some tropical drinks by the pool bar
Checking out the beach and taking self portrait :). We did that the first two days before even heading into town. It was a great break from the busy week of the wedding.

Going to a Luau at the Polynesian Cultural Center. We spent the whole day here learning about the culture and enjoying the sights
 Night Luau
Checking out the sights in Waikiki
Pool side pictures (yep, I used to be pretty skinny)
Self portrait in the elevator :), I love self portrait and luckily the hubby indulges
On the plane on our way to big island, this was a great day trip. It was cold there though so I had to buy a sweater
Getting ready to go swim with dolphins, I was so looking forward to this that when the hubby said he was game I was stoked.

Parasailing, we both had never done this so it was great to do it together. A little scary but definitely fun
Beach Luau at Paradise Cove, completely different than the PCC luau and so much fun

Dinner cruise and the perfect end to our trip
It was such an awesome trip. I want to go back to Hawaii. The weather was perfect, people were super nice, the food was great, what else can anyone ask for on vacation.

  1. I was just thinking about Hawaii today and how much I missed it.
We went there for our honeymoon too. We stayed in Kauai, I think that's the Garden Island.
I've been to Oahu before on a previous trip with my dad's family.
I can't wait to go back, next time I want to go to Maui.
